I'm blogging this...

So, it is now day two of the conference. Seminars seem to be very hit or miss - some of them are just fantastic (one called Put the FUN in dysfunction was very helpful for dealing with teachers that absolutely refuse to use technology) and some of them have been just horrible (one ended up being an hour long commercial for their technology consulting firm).

Overall, I think what bothers me the most about the seminars is that every presenter has assumed that all of us are educators in our 40s and 50s who need to learn technology tools and need to be shown that technology integration is the way to go. I have been using technology all of my life; they are preaching to the choir! I want to learn how to best get the rest of the teachers at my school on board with me and, while I am picking up some useful strategies, I feel pretty alone. There have to be some other teachers my age who are in a similar situation...right?
